What is the G-TEP? (Group Traumatic Episode Protocol) :
The EMDR G-TEP protocol is a group application useful for groups including couples, families, and those impacted by a traumatic event. Presenting issues can range from public events such as natural disasters or act of violence in a community, to personal and familial events such as traumatic bereavement, divorce, diagnosis, etc. G-TEP can be used in a variety of settings: the office, the field, or institutions such as hospitals, IOP, and/or Behavioral Health. Many therapists who learn G-TEP actually use the protocol with individual clients, because of the safety and containment it provides.
